The Haptics and Embedded Mechatronics Lab is researching new methods for producing smart materials using manufacturing techniques such as LIGA, SDM (Shape Deposition Manufacturing), and other layered manufacturing technologies.
The lab is currently creating infrustructure to bring SDM to the University of Utah.
